Shortly thereafter her family was run out of Minnesota. Daddy Gump had been caught molesting an underage boy.

Never mind! Lancaster, California (where the Gumps moved) was a lot closer to Hollywood. It wasn't very long before Baby was discovered!

In all other respects, Aitkin, Minnesota is an undistinguished and singularly charmless town.
