This is worse, so much worse, than 9/11 if only because of the total breakdown of social infrastructure.

I feel sick. And useless. And tired of the miracle of instantaneous global communications.

I don't believe in God. I wish I did. But I don't. Why then am I such a sucker for gloom and doom pronouncements? Like the old New Yorker cartoon sez: These are the end times…

I've been feeling like these are the end times for awhile. The global weather patterns that have been changing so dramatically is what started it for me.

But I can't figure out what to do about it.
