Alone With Spring

There was a lock on the Vanderbilt Estate gate yesterday, which, you know, was ridiculous since you can just walk around the gate.
And, like I said, it’s not as though anybody ever goes there anyway even at the most “normal” of times.
I ignored the lock and walked into the park. I fully expected to find it patrolled by armored tanks. I’d be arrested! Thrown into the clink!
But the park was utterly deserted.
And I was alone with spring.

The view of the Catskills was just magnificent:

I did my usual five-mile loop.
In utter solitude.

Other than that, I’ve spent more time on the phone this past week than I have in the past year.
For whatever reason, the Nanny voice in my head is nagging me: Stay out of stores till April 1!
The Nanny voice has done good by me my entire life. Well. Except for once or twice when it didn’t nag loudly enough.
So, I’m staying out of stores.
I’m well-stocked for food.
