Green Tomatoes; Pink Dior Jackets
Jul. 8th, 2018 09:12 amThat hack with the over-ripe bananas and the green tomatoes does not seem to be working, though the tomatoes aren’t deteriorating. (The bananas certainly are.)
Spent a very pleasant day wandering around outside in full-spectrum sunlight with a book (What to Read and Why) in my satchel. I have finished all the analyses of books I’ve actually read and am now debating whether or not to read analyses of books I haven’t read but might read (George Eliot’s Middlemarch) or books I haven’t read, and I’m positive I will never read (Balzac’s Cousin Bette.)
Today, Little Megan and I are off to explore the Beacon farmer’s market and the always delightful antique shops of Cold Spring.
I wonder whether that pink silk Dior jacket that’s just a trifle too small for me will still be for sale?
In perfect shape! And the price is right! But alas! the sleeves end just below my wrists and my boobs are a trifle too big for it to button.
That jacket has been torturing me for three straight years in a row.
It hasn’t grown, and I haven’t shrunk.
I should buy it and give it to someone, right?
