I will say one thing for yesterday’s storm: It was very pretty. Winter Wonderland filter on high!

To me, it looks like we got a foot, but neighbors on the local weather website are reporting a foot and a half or even two feet. The seasonal equivalent of Big Fish stories, I suppose.

It was a windless storm (hence the fairytale effect), so the power only flickered a few times.

I’d say we’re more at risk of losing power today as this stuff melts and trees start crashing down. The branches of the scraggly oaks that line L’s impractical driveway are practically touching the ground; one imagines the slightest shift in weights as the snow melts will cause them to break.

‘Nother Big Storm forecast this coming Monday.

At this point, spring is a matter of faith. Kinda like the afterlife!

At least Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend, so I’ll have light, light, glorious light, in the afternoons.
