So, I guess the scenario is that Climate Change moves the tropical boundaries north, mosquito-borne viruses cause all in utero human baby heads to shrink and – what? The human race is over?

That happened fast.

Good thing we’re grooming all those AIs to carry on human civilization, particularly those functions that pertain to the workforce.

I suppose in the ISIS rape camps, the human baby heads don’t shrink ‘cause, you know, mosquitoes don’t like deserts.

Meanwhile, thanks to the Iowa caucus, we now know who white people think should be the next President of the United States.

So-o-o irrelevant.

I am seething with resentment this morning over being force-fed this ridiculous stuff that passes as “news.”

Who fucking cares if Ted Cruz won the Republican contest in Iowa?

I suspect Hillary Clinton’s pitbull reaction – “I won!” – when the Democratic party itself refuses to certify a winner will come back to bite her in the ass, although it’s not necessarily a bad trait in an American POTUS.

Hillary Clinton might beat Donald Trump, but she won’t beat Marco Rubio. Bernie Sanders won’t beat Rubio either.

###

I am also hating on Mrs. George Clooney’s look:

She’s not an unattractive woman, and it’s not an unattractive dress (although, up close, all that red trim is what looks like vinyl appliqué) but somehow this combination is just hideous, and they should really fire that stylist for letting her out of the mansion in those shoes.

The great thing about being out of nursing school is people don't ask me shrinking baby head questions.

Cruz is frightening to me.

Mrs. Clooney - I'd still return her phone calls.

And beg her to hire a new stylist, I hope.

Don't worry yr handsome, leonine head about Cruz. Or Trump. I think what the Iowa primary tells us -- mebbe it was worth hearing, I dunno -- is that Marco Rubio will be the Republican nominee.

I love the dress -- it would look perfect on a young woman with good legs, but she does not have the legs for that dress.
She is also far far too old for that dress.
The shoes are hideous.

The coronation is already scheduled, so all this electioneering is just window dressing anyway...

Yeah, I kickstarted a loooong conversation on FB about this picture. It floored me that one person said, "But she has great legs," because to me, her legs are not great. I mean, I'm not suggesting she should amputate them or anything, and she may look fine naked. But they cannot carry off a dress like this. "Mutton dressed as lamb," as we used to say.

"Good thing we're grooming all those AIs to carry on human civilization..."

Exodus 13:16 (King James Version): "I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth"

Implemented in silicon instead of carbon, I infer, looking at the reality around us.

She looks like she thinks she's Ann Hathaway.

You're right! That's a very Ann Hathaway look.

I think of dresses like this as either being very young choices (like high school/college young and this is the dress i'm rushing a sorority in) or a VERY lazy choice masked as one that will be "fun!"

And pairing those shoes with was a BIZARRE choice to say the least. NOT an inspired one. Haha.

I frequently think her clothes are at least a little off, though.

Obvs this was the part of the entry that spoke to me most. :)

She wore a dress that looked a lot like this during the festivities that led up to her wedding. White. Appliquéd. Very short. And it looked good. So, I dunno. Maybe she's aged a lot in the two years since she married? Maybe her makeup was bad?

But those shoes. How could George have let her out of the house in them?

Billowing dresses this length always look very odd to me. The proportions seem off. Either the dress should be really short, like a tutu, and strictly for ballerinas, or the hem should be closer to the knee.

Then again, I don't know the first thing about fashion. I actually like those shoes. But with this dress, they should have been red.

I like the dress, and I like her, but it's a dress that needs to be worked (as we used to say back when I modeled) and she can't work it.

The shoes are very bad. She has large, veiny feet, and the shoes emphasize that.

And thanks for putting "No Diggity" into my head :-P

The glam world's standards of beauty were beaten into my head back in the day when I was making a living at this kind of thing. :-)

Sorry about "No Diggity!" :-(
