Printer problems even before the first cup of coffee – the Epson Stylus CX5200 is a piece of shit because the drivers every so often develop allergies to the obscure fonts I like to download off Limewire, and this was a problem because I had to fix it right away and so forgot most of a dream I wanted to remember –

I was in a museum, similar to the fabulous Museum of Jurassic Technology in LA only much, much bigger and better endowed. The era was some strange amalgamation of the 19th and 20th centuries. The golden age of citizen science! The museum specialized in anamatrons – talking ichthyosauri with precog abilities. I designed them. Various narrative arcs unfold which I forget completely now. But in the very last scene, I’m arguing with the museum curator who lives in a sumptuous suite on the very top floor of the museum. He’s one of those shifty counterculture guys with a weedy goatee. And I’m thinking to myself: I do all the work and he gets all the credit. And I’m getting mad.

Yeah, I do wonder what's at the root of it all! Especially in its pre-MacArthur Foundation days.
