Andy Warhol in the Hagia Sophia

Another Andy Warhol dream! This time we were in the Hagia Sophia before it was a mosque, and Andy was telling me how in Byzantine times he had been a glassmaker manufacturing those tiny, irridescent Smalti mosaic tiles, those tiles the Byzantines would back with very thin slivers of gold foil to give them that luminous golden shimmer.

"I always wanted to put faces on them back then," Andy said. "So naturally, when I got the opportunity…"

I think perhaps a trip to the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh is in my future. Maybe in the spring.

Also, I trimmed my flist.

Ok, dumb question. How do people know that they've been cut? Do they have to go look at your user info and check for their name on your friends list (like I just did? Yay, I'm still there!) or is there some other way of knowing?

Next question, more curious than dumb: why did you trim your flist? Is it so you don't read people's journals that you don't enjoy, or to keep other people from reading yours?

I have no idea how people would know except by looking at their lists.

I like to write and I like to read. If someone doesn't write much and never comments, then there's really no reason to keep them on my reading list.

In your case... You don't write much, but you have written from the heart in the past so I do have some sense of reciprocity there. Also I find your comments insightful and illuminating.

I used to write a lot more, and I really do love to write, but I can't seem to find enough balance right now to post; I am writing in my head ALL THE TIME. If only thoughts could fly to the screen...

Glad I made the cut in the revolving door that has been our relationship for the past 10 years. Seriously, we have been like a bickering old couple. I suspect that now we know each other IRL, we will be fast friends forever, and lunch on us when we come up which should be mid Jan. But this time it will be a little place I like in Tribeca. Is that OK?

I have like 10 people on my list-I keep the group small because I don't wanna have to spend a lot of time hitting keys if at some time in the future I have to get out the pimphand. Actually I keep the list dinner party small because that's about how many people I can handle when I go to Real Life parties.
I'm glad I'm still here, I've made an effort to behave myself and keep the drunk commenting/posting to just every other session. Any more than that and folks might get the impression that I have a problem. Which I don't. Have a problem, that is. Drinking. Drugs. Gambling. Porn. None of those. Problems. Okay, um, well...it's great to still be here. I said that already didn't I? Oh! The microwave dinged, my hotpocket's done!...
