I really like your Privacy chapter, writes CJ. It gets directly to the heart of the legal aspects of it without any fluff. It probably best represents the "standard" going forward, its very on point but manages to incorporate the relevant "rules" and a little background info of the "why" behind these legal issues.

High praise considering the source – CJ is very nitpicky.

But I’m still not quite done with the book – which was supposed to be finished today. Deadline is not an issue for the Little Lawyers, but it is for me because I cannot in good conscience ask for the remainder of my fee until the assignment is complete.

Forty thousand words in six weeks is a lot to write.

I’ve done a good job. I should be proud of myself. Maybe in a month or so I will be proud of myself. Right now I’m feeling hollow, like my eyes are cherries in a slot machine.

Yesterday’s unexpectedly warm rain melted all the snow. House is a mess since I’ve put off cleaning until the manuscript is complete. [livejournal.com profile] purejuice mentions making tangerine jam, and I’m intrigued: how do you make it so the citric acid doesn’t curdle? Also this time around, Brideshead left me rather dissatisfied with its ending though its elegaic theme music keeps going orund in my head, and I am reading a book called Welcome to Oakland by someone called Eric Miles Williamson which may be the closest simulation of Henry Miller in contemporary literature.

There is no hope of simulating Henry Miller in contemporary literature in Oakland, California. I refuse to believe it! :D

Right. But she specified "jam."

Did you write a good chapter on the tax benefits of donating children to charity?
