And while I haven't solved California's budget crisis, I think I may have figured out a way to put a significant dent in it. As with so many things, our Cousins To the North (i.e. Canada) have shown us the way: remember back in the fifties when the Canadian government nationalized the Dionne Quintruplets and made them Canada's top tourist attraction for a few years? I say we nationalize the octuplets, install them in the Monterey Aquarium -- sorry, cat_herder, but this means the penguins are out -- charge $3/pop to watch them perform their adorable octuplet antics. All proceeds to the State tax reimbursement fund. Maybe there'll be something left over even.

I LOVE Trader Joe's - and this little jingle says it all. hee. The day my friend called me and said "Trader Joe's just opened in Eugene" - I decided it was indeed time to move north.
