Paulson, GE & Richard II
Nov. 13th, 2008 07:12 amI want my $700 billion back.
I don't get the part about how since an oversight board has not yet been created, Paulson is just merrily handing out the cash according to his own internal stipulations. These include no to toxic mortgages but yes to GE. Except that GE has never paid into the FDIC to the best of my knowledge. Of course, what do I know? At least now they'll be able to give Rachel Maddow a raise!
So, essentially we have a situation where Wall Street has looted Boomer retirement funds, and Boomers aren't even getting a desk calendar out of it.
Jack Welch, of course, thinks the auto industry should not be bailed out.
Me, I'm just an ant. It's almost certain someone's gonna step on me and squash me dead. To pass the time until that happens, I've been reading a lot about British history in the 15th century. I think I have problems. Richard II, now he had problems.
