Wishful Thinking
Dec. 13th, 2007 09:31 amI have a billion things to do and no interest in doing any of them, no interest in doing anything besides lying on the sofa, nibbling bits of chile mango and reading Ruth Rendell's The Water's Lovely. It's very cold and bright outside. Perfect day for staying inside. I must hurry up and win Lotto.
Otherly, took the Resident Teenager for a haircut yesterday. He certainly is a handsome kid although photo-phobic at present so you'll just have to take my word for it. His hair is now very short – he looks like a French juvenile delinquent, think Antoine Doinel in Les Quatre Cents Coups.
"You look like your father," I told him dreamily.
He rolled his eyes. "Please. I look just like you."
Oh, and America's Next Top Model? Dead to me. Dead to me.

Date: 2007-12-14 02:31 am (UTC)I could write and get lucky... pull off a Stephen King. Truth is though, I can't quite see that happening. And I won't inherit because there's no one to inherit from. And I'll certainly never earn it in my current field of endeavor.
So, I thought, time to start playing Lotto again. I'm not sure how many time a week they play in Oregon, how much a quick pick would cost, how much they pay off. But one ticket a week would at least keep the door open.
I'm glad we're in different states. You can win in California while I win in Oregon. Then we can do a two-week spa together.
