Diana writes that seagulls on the Monterey piers are aggressively dive-bombing the few locals who venture down to the beaches for quality social distance.

The birds stopped fishing for food in the oceans a long time ago. They’ve become completely dependent upon tourists for food.

“It’s like something out of a Hitchcock movie,” Diana told me. “I was really scared.”

I’ll bet.

“The squirrels were completely out of control, too,” she added. “Pulling at my shoe laces!”

I’m also kind of bemused by the fact that for the time being, the U.S. is completely a credit-based economy. I mean—is production taking place anywhere? Is there any such thing right now as a GDP?

The ramifications of that are simply astounding.

I would like to think more about that, plot the course of the ripples through the pond, but like I said, my mind is an inferior brand of Swiss cheese at the moment, more hole that product.

Thank God for Shahs of Sunset! Tommy, husband of MJ, has just run amuck through Reza and Adam’s yard, “defending” his wife by smashing a couple of cactus planters. Defending his wife against what, I would like to know? Plants? What is this, Little Shop of Horrors?
