Recreated With Astonishing Realism

Whale watching! (Fine.)
Trips to the tequila factory! (Okay.)
A camel ride through the Mexican high desert to a place where you can learn to make tortillas and tour faux-Mayan ruins, recreated "with astonishing realism" in plaster!
I laughed so hard, I thought I would choke.
This is gonna be a fabulously farcical adventure. So long as I don’t spin off into one of my hollow-mirror, existential angst fests.
Else?
Passed the Tax Bwana test with flying colors. The program is actually an excellent program, offering H&R Block services at absolutely no cost. Program is staffed by volunteers operating out of donated spaces; we’re funded by a small federal grant that pays for our computers, the tax software license, and the hotline. It’s nationwide, so if anybody who’s reading this is looking for tax help, you can set up an appointment in your location by dialing 211. Or you can talk to me.
For various reasons having to do with the enormous number of errands on my To Do list, I didn’t get a whole lot of creative work done—and it seems unlikely that I will get much more done before the beginning of February. Seems a pity to take a break when writing is going so well, but you know—Life. It gets in the way.
