Quelle Dommage!
Feb. 16th, 2013 10:15 amI am thinking Bravo really needs to do a reality TV series entitled Quelle Dommage! about a wacky, loveable polyamourous BDSM household. Hijinx ensue! Though maybe this would work better as scripted TV, something along the lines of Will and Grace. Ty Burrell in the Dom role. Parker Posey and Lena Dunham as the adorable sister wives.
I am also pissed off because several thousand dollars in auto parts cataloging is scheduled to be compensated on March 1 instead of Feb 15 as I'd supposed. Must do some serious problem solving on that front since There Are BILLS To Pay. The good news is that I have upped my $$$-making potential considerably over the past month by adding new clients. The bad news is that of course they're freelance clients so I only work when they have stuff to do. They've had a lot of stuff to do this past month though, and February is ostensibly the Slow Time for this line of work.
The President's Day Weekend was always a big money-maker for the Little Store. The Little Store is my Manderly. I cannot think of it without crying, although it often comes to me in dreams. I loved it more than anything except Robin and Max. It was the big cliff I jumped right off. Of course, it was also the cliff I'd been programmed to jump off since earliest childhood, right? For such a smart person – and I am pretty smart – who is so good at strategizing on other people's behalf, it's amazing how fatalistic I am about my own life. I worked very hard as a mother to give my kids a sense of self-determination about their own lives. But me, I'm always going to be stuck in the House of Usher. Maybe Bravo would like to do a reality TV series about that.
Lots and lots and lots of work today.
Lots and lots and lots of play tomorrow.
