Egyptian Oil/Catholic Charities
Jan. 29th, 2011 10:24 amOil supertankers don’t use the Suez Canal, and US-bound oil doesn’t go through the Mediterranean channel.
Nevertheless, expect the Egyptian unrest to bounce gasoline pump prices up into the $3.60/gallon range by the end of next week. Any excuse, right?
In other news, the Immaculate Conception/Catholic Charities people finally got back to me and I will be building them a website – for fr-r-r-r-r-eeeee! I’m down with this: for one thing, I need a local reference for any other website building I may be doing and they are well connected; for another, during the very, very horrible winter of last year (which I didn’t write about because it was too humiliating), Catholic Charities was one of the social services that allowed us to keep body and soul together. I’m pleased to have the opportunity to give back.
