I found my emerald ring. On Friday the thirteenth. In a place I'd checked a thousand times before.
Can't tell you how much that means to me, particularly this morning when I've been sitting here since 5am playing whack-a-mole with accounts payable, and despairing.
So yeah, yeah, yeah, the universe is soulless and indifferent, a big empty tessellation that only in the moment by moment manages to pull off defying that Second Law of Thermodynamics. Meaning is a delusion. Everything floats.
But finding that ring had meaning for me.
