Breaking sweat

Rode hard, rode to exhaust myself. Crisp, cool, bright day with interesting lighting effects: sky was mostly hard-edged blue but along the western mountains, a fog bank was rising, filtering the light from the drifting sun, turning distance into an ever-receding dream horizon, misty, golden, unreachable.
