The money quote from last night’s Presidential debate: They’re eating the dogs. The people that came in, they’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there. And this is what’s happening in our country.

Well, at least now I know what happened to Molly, right? 😀

As BB notes: In this election, the clear choice is between having your pussy eaten or having it grabbed.

(Fact check: Haitians aren’t really eating pets! But they do make great hot sauce, so if you’re looking for a pairing…)

Normally, I would not have watched the debate because I already know who I’m voting for, and the entire political process at this point is unbelievably exhausting & disillusioning.

But the BoyZ & I watched it together while commenting on our texting channel (code-named by RTT, Bang, Bang, DiLucchio Gang.) And I’m glad I did because I ended up being impressed by Kamala Harris. She is really articulate, struggled hard to keep within a debate framework—a difficult task given that her opponent does not know how to speak in complete sentences & ignored all rules of civilized discourse.

Trump actually made a few valid points. For example: I think he’s absolutely correct about NATO members shirking their share of the Ukrainian War costs. (For anyone wondering why European educational & healthcare systems are so vastly superior to our own, in significant part that’s due to the fact that that they have the $$$ to spend on them since the U.S. is effectively underwriting their defense budgets.)

But he was so rambling & dissociative that it was almost impossible to decipher any sense in the spew.

The guy is unhinged.

My guess is that if he does get elected—and now that the Harris honeymoon is over, the polls are showing a dead heat—within six months, J.D. Vance, Lindsay Graham, et al will evoke the 25th Amendment to get him out, & then we’ll have 50 years of POTUS Vance.

In other news, Belinda & I saw Beetlejuice 2 yesterday. It is not very good.

Belinda also invited me to go down to Atlantic City with her next week for a couple of days. She has a timeshare.

I’m considering the invitation. After all, like Kurt Vonnegut sez, Unusual travel suggestions are dancing lessons from God, and I have never seen Atlantic City. I’m sure Atlantic City has many scenes of urban decay that I will greatly enjoy though I generally want to shoot myself if I spend more than two hours in a casino.

If I can finish enough Remuneration twixt now & next Wednesday, I may go.

Also, Iggy finally went back to NYC. He’d been up here for three weeks.

I like Iggy, but he is a Dick, which means I feel stupider & uglier when I’m around him—Dicks generally have that effect on me.

When I got back to the casa last night & his car wasn’t in its customary parking spot, I instantly became ten times more beautiful & intelligent.

It's strange how some men can give some of us vibes like that. Ugh.

I was in Atlantic City w my parents and their cousins yrs ago. I was a kid. Bo-ring because they drank, smoked and played in the casino. All I could do was stand around. I would like to go back as an adult, but there are limits on the gambling. I am not a gamer in general. I like seeing sights, eating the food, taking pix, walking, seeing the shore, etc.
