A River of Clouds

One storm blew out; another storm blew in.
The transition produced a light that was extraordinarily reflective. A river of clouds!!!!

Other than tromping, I did remarkably little yesterday because I was exhausted, having slept only six hours the night before.
What I’m finding is that the six hours a night that used to hold me in my younger years is no longer enough sleep. (Well. Actually, in my younger years, it was more like five hours a night. Or even four.)
Maybe I’m making up for lost time?
I love to sleep, and when I don’t sleep eight hours—the Christmas Fitbit makes it easy to measure the time—I feel off.

Today, I really must get back in the remunerative grind because it’s never a good idea to renegotiate client deadlines.
And also, I’m gonna be taking the IRS certification exam on Wednesday, so I need to study up on tax codes and tax laws.

What else?
Honestly, nothing. My Little Life is quiet, quiet, quiet.
I’m liking Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow very much and consider myself fortunate to have lucked upon two fabulous books in a row (The Candy House and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.)
I’m a big reader. No shit! I probably spend three hours of each and every day reading, a fact that seems to astonish practically everyone I confide it to.
Basically, I’ll read anything.
But the pleasure is purest when I’m reading something good.
