Wherever You Go, There You Are

Clients now coming out of the woodwork.
A good thing. But also a bad thing.
I wish that door in the wall thing didn’t always happen. Whenever there’s a breakthrough in the Work in Progress, seems like the Universe starts clamoring, Look over here.
Money is always a good thing, but I wish there was some other way of getting it. A trust fund, maybe. Some insomniac scout for the MacArthur Foundation who stumbles across this diary and thinks, My Gawd! This woman is a genius! Or maybe one of those convenient great uncles in the East Indian tea trade who are always dying childless in 19th century English novels and leaving remote members of their extended family large fortunes.
We’re now in the high days of summer. The garden is running riot though the tomatoes haven’t yet ripened. I’m living on pesto, Swiss Chard, beets and scrambled eggs with many different types of peppers. Not a bad diet. The peppers fruited early and show no signs of abating but since it was such a rainy spring, the cucumbers are only just now coming in.

I am thinking I would like to go somewhere very far away, but I am also thinking, why bother? Wherever you go, there you are.
