Why Democrats Keep Losing Elections

The warming trend continues, but the thick layer of ice overlaying the landscape is loath to retreat, so spring still appears a long ways off.

Mostly yesterday I Remunerated. And wondered why I have so much free-floating anxiety.

In the evening, I talked to Adrienne.

"Lack of medical care and transportation" was apparently decided upon as a top platform issue at some Ulster County Democratic convention, so now it has to be incorporated into every Ulster County Democratic campaign.

This is why Democrats keep losing elections, I thought—because, like I say, while lack of medical care & transportation may be an issue in other parts of the county, it's definitely not an issue in Wallkill. In fact, Wallkill actually has a volunteer ambulance service!

"Did anybody try & crunch the numbers to see for what percentage of Ulster County residents this is actually an issue?" I asked.

Well, no. But the sentiment sounds rousing.

Whatevs, dude, I thought, rolling my eyes.

Yeah. Sigh. To win here, she really needs to distance herself from the Democrats' chapter & verse. And it's clear she won't do that.

I haven't seen it!!! Darling daughter wanted to see it together but time just keeps on a'marchin, ya know.

I can buy it same as renting right now but I really want to see it. Just don't want to add to my digital library too stupidly, like I did with uh...LAMB.

Also, yes, eggs. Luckily, lots up here keep chickens. Makes them organic and way more affordable. Trying to talk The Viking into chickens and bees...but so far he's not biting.

What's the objection to chicks? They're really entertaining birds.

I think you'd like Nosferatu. In one way, it's a faithful homage to the silent movie, but in another, it's a meditation on a woman who's literally consumed by dark love. And the cinematography is exquisite, which will appeal to the photographer in you.

But I don't want to get blamed if you discover you hate it! 😀
