I don't mind hearing stories repeated. Unless I point out that it's been repeated but they still expect me to "ooh" and "ahh" and take the entire emotional roller coaster ride as if it's all new to me. I mean, you'd hope that it would become emotional shorthand so you don't *have* to repeat yourself ("remember I told you that thing about my dad?" "Yeah").
