This Nosferatu is quite the love letter to Murnau's Nosferatu. The famous shadow is a motif throughout, and much of Count Orlov's dialogue is actually taken from placards in the original silent film. Bill SkarsgÄrd is amazing as Count Orlov, and I have to say, Lily-Rose Depp as the hapless Ellen is extremely good.

Yes, it is a creepy film, but also a stunningly beautiful film filled with archetypes, none of which are played for sensationalism. The imagery throughout is out of this world.

It's not a film I would recommend to too many people, but I would recommend it to you. You might not like it, but you would apppreciate it.
