I watched Eggers' film about lighthouse keepers and disliked it heartily, but have wondered since if I approached it with expectations it wasn't designed to fulfil.

The original Nosferatu- Murrnau's Nosferatu- is one of the creepiest films I know- and I may have to have a look at Eggers' version to see what he's done with it.
